Hey all, it’s Sean. Glad we have another place to connect that is not ran by billionaires.
There is a really deep uncertainty right now in this country. Does it scare you? Because it scares a lot of people and it’s ok if you are one of them.
I think We forget our world history too quickly…
Right now, fear seems to be a powerful undercurrent running through the daily lives of many Americans. From rising political tensions to economic uncertainty, and the ever-present shadow of global crises, it’s no surprise that anxiety is high. But what’s driving this fear? And more importantly, how can we address it?
The first step is to organize. What you can do RIGHT NOW to fight what is going on in this country is to organize, talk to others affected and offer them help. We have to stick together right now, it’s legit all we have.
The cost of living, Inflation, wage stagnation, and a rising gap between the rich and poor have made it harder for many Americans to get by. Job insecurity, soaring healthcare costs (or lack there of), and the volatility of housing markets are realities that too many are grappling with. Problem is, it’s only going to get worse under this deeply evil administration.
So Sean, how do I organize in a time like this? Well, here are some things to get you started:
Whether it’s on a small local scale or a larger national level, organizing isn’t just about marching in the streets—it’s about building connections, creating spaces for action, and pushing for tangible results.
1. Start with Education and Awareness
Before you can rally people to act, you need to make sure they understand the issues at hand. Start by sharing information in accessible ways. This could mean:
- Hosting discussions, webinars, or community meetings to break down complex topics.
- Creating easy-to-share resources (articles, graphics, videos) that simplify critical issues.
- Using social media to spread facts and engage with others in meaningful conversations.
The goal is to help people understand why they should care about an issue and how their involvement can make a difference. The more informed and passionate people are, the more likely they are to get involved. As big billionaires try to make this HARDER, create spaces like personal blogs or podcasts on your own websites so they can’t stop your free speech.
2. Identify the Common Cause
Find what connects you and others to a common goal. It’s essential to focus on shared values rather than differences. Ask: Do you believe in democracy? Are you willing to fight for it?
- What unites us as a community, city, or country?
- What do we all want for the future?
- Where do we see common ground despite our different backgrounds or experiences?
- IGNORE common ground with MAGA, push them to the edge and punish their ignorance. Democrats can’t “work” with these people
Make it clear, simple, and compelling. Whether it’s fighting for fair wages, pushing back against harmful policies the administration is enacting, or demanding climate action, narrowing down the issue helps build a focused movement and builds hella momentum!
